Please be advised that from Monday 16th April 2018, we will be commencing major upgrades in the Lower Bar area. The significant improvements to the prestigious space will not only deliver an improved experience for Members and guests, it will also significantly improve our service delivery to meet the expectations of our thriving modern City.
During the first week of the project there will be no Member or public access to the Lower Bar and Lounge Area. However, during this period, Members and guests will still be able to access the Men’s Fitness Centre via the usual route.
From Monday 23rd April, access will be restored to the Lower Bar and Lounge Area, which will both be open to the public as normal, with a temporary bar erected to provide drink service. Access to the Men’s Fitness Centre will remain unchanged.
In the final stage of the works, due to commence in the first week of June, the Lower Bar and Lounge Area will close for approximately three weeks. During this time, there will be no access to the Men’s Fitness Centre via Lower Bar. Alternative access will be made available and signposted.
Safety deposit boxes access
During the entire fit-out period (16 April-mid-June), there will be limited access to the safety deposit boxes located at the back of the area. If you require access during this period, please call ahead to make an appointment with the Duty Manager on 9267 9421 to ensure access can be gained, and they will then make arrangements.
196 Pop-Up Bar
Please be advised that the final day of trading for the 196 Pop-Up bar will be Wednesday 25th April [Anzac Day]. Following this, the area will begin its transformation into a TAB outlet with direct street access. Make sure you pop in to enjoy the last few weeks of this area.
Silks Toilets
On a final note, the women’s amenities in the Silks Area will be closed for renovations from Monday 16th April for approximately three weeks. Signage to the closest facilities will be displayed in and around this area during this period.
